Tor Marine – Saudi Sea Ports

After several years of working with Tor Marine on various tenders, Macduff Ship Design were delighted to be awarded the design for all vessels for a major new build project for Saudi Sea Ports Authority.  The order, consisting of 19 vessels to 8 widely varying designs, would be a challenge that would be fully embraced by all members of staff.  The contract consisted of:-

4 x 15m Harbour workboats                                            1 x 15m ASD harbour diving service vessel

1 x 15m ASD garbage collection vessel                          1 x 16m Pilot vessel

3 x 19m Pilot vessels                                                          2 x 25m ASD Harbour Tugs

4 x 30m ASD Harbour Tugs                                               2 x 46m Oil Separation Barges

With such a variety of design requirements and several new classes of vessel, the design team at Macduff were again delighted to prove their versatility in producing all designs and steel cutting data for all of the vessels with each design proving itself and meeting all specified requirements.
